“HCA” back in the Anthem Blue Cross Network

You may have heard last month that Hospital Corporation of America (“HCA”) terminated its Hospital Agreements with Anthem Blue Cross effective March 3, 2012.  Fortunately, both Anthem and HCA continued active negotiations with the hope that the hospitals would again participate in Anthem Blue Cross’s network.

We are pleased to announce a multi-year Agreement has been reached with an effective date of April 1, 2012.  Unfortunately, there is a lapse in participating status from March 3, 2012 through March 31, 2012.  The HCA hospitals include the following facilities:

Hospital Name Location
Good Samaritan Hospital San Jose, CA
Los Robles Regional Medical Center  Thousand Oaks, CA
Regional Medical Center of San Jose  San Jose, CA
Riverside Community Hospital Riverside, CA
West Hills Hospital West Hills, CA

Affected doctors, patients, and employers will receive a letter from Anthem to let them know that the HCA hospitals are once again participating in Anthem Blue Cross’s network.  In the meantime, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at benefits@vitamail.com.
