San Francisco HCSO and Fair Chance Ordinance Reporting Requirement Delayed to October 31

by Vita, on March 29, 2021

Last week, the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement issued guidance postponing the annual reporting requirement for the 2020 plan year, which is typically due on April 30th. This guidance was issued in response to pending legislation to eliminate the 2020 plan reporting requirement due to the “economic strain” of COVID-19. The new due date is October 31, 2021. Neither the guidance nor pending legislation eliminate the need to comply with both ordinances, and there is nothing in the legislation that will change the requirements for the 2021 plan year.

Stay tuned for updates to this post as the status of the pending legislation changes. What we know for certain is the 2020 plan year reporting due date is pushed to October 31. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Vita Account Manager.
