The Role & Expected Results

An Account Manager at Vita is a client-facing role, with responsibility for providing knowledge, service and excellence for client employee benefit plans. This is a full-time position in our fast-paced, professional office environment! At Vita, Account Manager’s work directly with our clients to manage all aspects of benefits for companies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Command and manage all aspects of clients’ accounts through micro and macro analysis of client specific details;
  • Facilitate client meetings, as well as present new hire and OE meetings;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients at an administrative level, as well as some at a decision-making level;
  • Build/update accurate cost models;
  • Proactively manage renewal process;
  • Confirm all necessary compliance processes and documentation;
  • Manage all policies, certificates, and contractual agreements;
  • Be an advocate for our clients and drive for resolution all claims and issues as they arise; and
  • Engagement in training and development of other team members.

Requirements:

This is not a sales position. The right candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits or human resources. Direct experience in employee benefits preferred. You must be self-confident, highly accurate in all your work, well-organized, flexible, highly self-disciplined (follow through, attention to detail, self-starter), able to work proactively and independently, possess critical thinking skills, have a professional demeanor and business owner empathy, and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). You are driven by a continual improvement process mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bachelor’s degree preferred. The workload is very diverse and demanding, and requires an intelligent, flexible, enthusiastic person who is a team player and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Compensation:

Starting salary dependent on experience and education. An excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and a comprehensive wellness program (with incentives) is offered.
